Versace announces that as of 2016 the entire Versace Home collection was brought in-house to create a truly complete Versace world.
Debuting in 1992 with a collection of textiles for the home, Versace Home soon expanded to include furniture to express in 360° the iconic style of the house.
Versace’s dynamic growth makes it the perfect time to bring Versace Home in-house. Versace will now be responsible for everything from the creative process to sales and distribution through its retail and franchise channels, as well as authorised dealers. The internalization process is possible due to two exclusive producer relationships – Cassina Contract for the furniture and Nemo for lighting. The textile collection has already been produced and distributed by Versace.
The first expressions of the new fully integrated Versace Home are the Via Gesù Palazzo Empire sofa and the MESEDIA chair.
Via Gesù Palazzo Empire sofa took inspiration from the iconic It-bag Versace Palazzo Empire. Dramatic and elegant, it is a unique piece in the softest nubuck sky blue leather, the arms highlighted by a lacquered matte Medusa head.
The emblematic MESEDIA is a new chair made of climate proof aluminium, shaped as the iconicMedusa. As a first of its kind for Versace Home, it is designed for outdoor living and available in five colors: haze, storm, cloud, purple sunset and sunrise.
“Versace Home has been part of Versace DNA since the very beginning,” said Gian Giacomo Ferraris, CEO of Versace. “To bring it in-house is a natural step forward to pursue our strategy to increase and further develop the Company. Versace Home is an important asset for the brand and will improve its potential in-house”
