Creative Director Charlotte Eskildsen does not drive herself, but she sure has a need for speed. The recollection of the first car in Charlotte’s life was her Mother’s futuristic organic shaped Volkswagen.
The Fall | Winter 2015 collection is driven by the decade of growing feminism and sexual liberation; the 70’s in admixture with race-vibes.
The 70’s inspiration is evident in the choice of organic soft fabrics such as rya rugs, cork, wood, furniture wool and key-styles of the decade as flared pants, neat fitted coats, cropped tops and the tie ribbon shirt. Combined with elements from race-wear such as bodysuits, bomber jackets, different types of quilt and waist belts Charlotte has consistently catered for the female body, which has been neglected for too long. The overall impression of the collection seems soft and light yet powerful.
The dreary earthy colour scale is obviously retrieved from the decade of growing feminism and sexual liberation. You will see rust, electric lilac, pearl white, mint, grey and brown, which is of course mixed with the Designers Remix signature colour black.
The collection is dedicated to the unapologetic free-spirited woman who is ready to race.
